The worst moments usually come late at night, when it's just you and your phone. Every account you shut down is one less place to bet when that moment shows up. betPARX operates in Maryland, Michigan, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

If a button isn't where we say it is, the app probably moved it. Support chat can do every step below if you ask for it by name.

How to close your betPARX account

  1. Withdraw your balance first.
  2. Look for the close option under My Account, then Limits, or contact betPARX support (in Pennsylvania, pasupport@betparx.com or 1-833-472-7972).

Self-exclusion is the firmer option.

Closing vs. self-excluding from betPARX

Support can often reopen a closed account with one message. A break holds until its end date. Self-exclusion holds for a fixed term and usually can't be undone early, so that's the one to pick if you're done.

Why betPARX will try to win you back

Sportsbooks spend heavily on getting people back with promos, bonus bets and texts from hosts. Expect it, and decide ahead of time that every offer goes straight to the trash. Why bonus bets aren't free money.

Take a break from betPARX

  • Timeout: 72 hours up to 26 weeks in Pennsylvania. Contact support to withdraw during it.

Self-exclude from betPARX

  • Self-exclusion: In Pennsylvania, 12 to 60 months through the state's form, and the account won't be reactivated before it ends. In New Jersey, through the state program.

betPARX is state-licensed, so your state's self-exclusion program covers it, along with every other licensed sportsbook in your state. How state self-exclusion works, and your state guide has the sign-up steps.

Set limits on betPARX

Deposit, wager, loss, single-bet and login time limits. If you're cutting back, limits help. If you're quitting, treat them as a backup: set them as low as they go and self-exclude too.

Block betPARX on your phone and cards

Deleting the app is step one. Sign out everywhere, then put a blocker on your phone so it can't come back on a bad night. BetBlocker is free and can be locked for years, and this guide covers the rest.

Then take your cards off the account and ask your bank about blocking gambling charges. To stop the emails and texts: Ask support to stop marketing.

Stop betPARX VIP hosts, rewards and offers

If anyone from betPARX contacts you personally with bonuses or offers, treat it like a VIP host.

Self-exclusion is the cleanest way to end it. After that, send betPARX support one email asking to be taken off every rewards and VIP list, and save it. Any offer that shows up after you self-exclude is worth reporting to your state regulator. How to get VIP hosts to leave you alone.

What about your data?

Ask support about data deletion.

Close the rest too

Closing betPARX helps. The other apps are still one tap away, so shut those down too:
